Important Notice
This document is a community terms template for Ohio State Roleplay. It is not legal advice and does not replace review by a qualified attorney. If the community begins collecting payments, selling products, running ads, collecting sensitive data, or serving users in regulated regions, leadership should get professional legal review.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By visiting our website, joining our Discord server, participating in ER:LC sessions, submitting applications, opening tickets, applying for staff, or otherwise using Ohio State Roleplay services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our community services.
"Ohio State Roleplay," "OSRP," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the community and its authorized owners, administrators, moderators, department leadership, and staff acting within their assigned roles. "You" means any member, applicant, visitor, player, staff member, partner, or other user.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
Ohio State Roleplay is intended for users who can safely and lawfully use Roblox, Discord, and related community tools. You must follow the age requirements and account rules set by Roblox and Discord. We do not knowingly request or collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.
- You are responsible for following Roblox Terms of Use and Community Standards.
- You are responsible for following Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising minors who participate.
- We may restrict, remove, or deny access where age, safety, or platform rules require it.
3. Accounts, Identity, and Access
You may need a Roblox account, Discord account, or other platform identity to access parts of the community. You are responsible for keeping your accounts secure and for activity that occurs under your account names, IDs, or linked profiles.
- Do not impersonate staff, law enforcement, public officials, community partners, or other users.
- Do not evade bans, mutes, blacklists, application denials, or department removals.
- Do not share accounts to avoid discipline or gain unauthorized access.
- Do not submit false identity, age, experience, rank, department, or partnership information.
4. Community Conduct
Our community is built for organized, realistic roleplay. Members must act with basic respect, follow staff direction, and avoid behavior that damages sessions or user safety.
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, bullying, doxxing, stalking, or targeted abuse.
- No sexually explicit content, grooming, predatory behavior, or unsafe interactions with minors.
- No exploiting, hacking, crashing, raiding, spam, malicious links, malware, or automation abuse.
- No random deathmatch, fail roleplay, scene disruption, staff baiting, or priority abuse.
- No sharing private DMs, private tickets, staff discussions, reports, or application answers without permission.
- No real-world emergency impersonation, swatting, false reports to emergency services, or threats of real violence.
- No discrimination or degrading behavior based on race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or protected status.
5. Moderation and Enforcement
Staff may moderate at their discretion to protect the community. Enforcement may include warnings, message removal, ticket closure, session removal, department removal, rank demotion, mute, kick, ban, blacklist, application denial, partnership denial, or referral to platform trust and safety teams.
We may review chat messages, tickets, application submissions, moderation logs, Roblox usernames, Discord usernames, user IDs, screenshots, clips, and staff notes when investigating rule issues. Staff decisions during live scenes are final for that session. Appeals may be offered, but appeals are not guaranteed.
6. Applications, Staff Roles, Transfers, and Partnerships
Applications for staff, departments, transfers, training, partnerships, or other roles are privileges, not rights. We may approve, deny, hold, close, or re-review applications based on activity, conduct, professionalism, honesty, staffing needs, prior moderation history, and leadership judgment.
- Application answers must be your own and must be truthful.
- Leaking, selling, copying, or mass-sharing application answers is prohibited.
- Staff roles may be changed or removed at any time.
- Partnerships may be refused or ended if the other community creates safety, reputation, or rule concerns.
7. User Content and Community Content
You may submit messages, applications, screenshots, clips, suggestions, bug reports, tickets, staff notes, and other content. You keep ownership of content you legally own, but you give Ohio State Roleplay permission to use, review, store, display, reproduce, moderate, and share that content as needed to operate the community, enforce rules, investigate reports, and communicate with members.
Do not submit content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights. Ohio State Roleplay names, logos, graphics, website design, rule boards, staff documents, and community materials may not be copied, sold, or reused outside the community without permission.
8. Third-Party Platforms
Ohio State Roleplay uses third-party services such as Roblox, Emergency Response: Liberty County, Discord, hosting providers, and optional form or bot systems. We do not control those platforms and are not responsible for their outages, rules, moderation, data practices, account actions, or content.
If Roblox, Discord, or another platform suspends, removes, or restricts your account, we may be unable to restore your access. You must comply with each third-party service's own terms and policies.
9. Availability, Changes, and Community Operation
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website, Discord server, applications, departments, roleplay sessions, staff systems, bots, or community tools at any time. We may update rules, department policies, moderation standards, application requirements, and these Terms as the community changes.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Ohio State Roleplay is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free systems, acceptance into roles, permanent availability of content, or any specific roleplay outcome.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ohio State Roleplay and its staff will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of access, loss of data, loss of reputation, account discipline by third parties, or disputes between members.
